“It’s not just the hunt that entices me. It’s the follow through- cleaning and cooking my catch, that really excites me. If it weren’t for that, I would have no desire to hunt.”
Food has always been a very prominent part of Kimi’s upbringing. At a young age, she spent much of her time helping her family harvest and prepare meals from both the land and sea. These simple practices of resourcefulness have engrained in her values, appreciation and creativity. Below she shares some of her favorite recipes. But she believes that recipes should always be thought of as mere guidelines to be changed and enhanced depending on the season, ingredients available as well as the creativity of the hands preparing it.
